Holistic Brain Training: Why Is The Balanced Brain Different?

Are you looking for ways to understand better and control your mental health? Do you find yourself struggling to maintain inner balance in the midst of the challenges posed by everyday life? Believe it or not, holistic brain training may be the key to optimal health. You can learn how to maximize your mental well-being and experience greater joy in all that life throws at you. What exactly makes this type of training so special, though? Well, let’s explore.

What sets The Balanced Brain apart from other neurofeedback providers?

This is primarily because we take a more holistic view of our client’s brain health.

Neurofeedback, simply put, is best-practices training for your brain. It’s straightforward and very mathematical. Our cutting-edge protocols are at the forefront of understanding how humans think and act, which provide reliable analysis time after time. But let’s not forget that an important aspect of being human exists beyond scientific data points and calculations.

There’s nutrition, which we must consider, as well as psycho-spiritual health. We’re interested in all of those because we’ve realized over the years that people who come to us who already have good nutrition and basic psychological health do the best with neurofeedback brain training. Their results are better, and they come faster.

What we took away from that was the need to expand our program to help further people dig into those areas.

Functional Medicine and Health Coaching

We added functional medicine health coaching as a first step to help you get the most out of your time with us.

Madison MacEocain is our functional medicine health coach. She was trained at the Institute for Functional Medicine. She helps our clients dig into the various aspects of nutrition and lifestyle that may be getting in the way of their best success using neurofeedback.

She has a variety of skills and training.

She’s trained in heart rate variability analysis.

She’s trained in nutritional blood test analytics.

She’s trained in amino acid therapy.

She’s an experienced yoga and mindfulness expert.

All these contribute to her helping our clients dig down to find out some obstacles to their best mental health.

We also have an extensive network of referral partners we lean on when people need a deeper dive into functional medicine or psychotherapy. I can’t stress enough that all of these areas are vital. It’s not just neurofeedback, nutrition, and gut health. It’s not just psychological balance. It’s all of them put together.

Training (not just) the Brain

See it this way: For your brain to learn new habits, it needs to be able to perceive and act on information appropriately. It needs the right raw materials, the right resources, and the right available nutrients.

Our brains crave essential nutrients to learn and grow. Unfortunately, if your gut suffers from inflammation due to systemic issues such as SIBO or diabetes, it can leave you feeling cognitively depleted; neurofeedback alone isn’t enough.

Your gut health needs to be addressed.

If you have a psychologically challenging life, unrelenting stress, and toxic relationships at work or home, your brain will lapse into familiar habits, usually bad ones. A few hours a week with us will not be enough to overcome those adequately.

Handling Life with Confidence

At The Balanced Brain, we understand that health and wellness take a multifaceted approach. That’s why we utilize the holistic benefits of functional medicine combined with in-depth coaching sessions and heart rate variability training (complete with your own HRV device) to help you get back on track toward achieving optimal well-being. We know these are going to be added elements that are going to propel your success with us.

We want your brain; we want YOU to be able to face the challenges that will inevitably come your way with confidence. You know, with confidence, you’ll be able to handle them.

The Balanced Brain is unique because we treat the whole person: body, mind, emotions, and spirit. We understand that all of these areas are interconnected and affect each other. It’s not just about training the brain; it’s about holistic health. When you work with us, you’ll receive functional medicine support and health coaching to help you make lasting changes. You’ll learn how to handle life confidently to live your best life. If this sounds like what you’ve been looking for, schedule a discovery call today to see if we’re a good fit for you.
